ESTELLA GONZALEZ was born and raised in East L.A. which inspires her writing. Her work has appeared in Kweli Journal, The Acentos Review and Huizache. Originally from Portland, Oregon, honed in New York City, and at-home all over the world, HILARY DOWNES has a curiosity that reaches beyond the ends of the earth. Professionally, she straddles the not-so-distinct realms of media and mental health, finding that one inspires the other. With roots in film and music, Hilary engages in various kinds of creative storytelling. In addition to directing short films, she has co-written and recorded four albums, performed on stages spanning from New York to St. Petersburg, and has collaborated with some of the greatest contemporary independent artists in the musical and visual traditions. Hilary works as a commercial producer and psychotherapist — and is also a writer, leader, multi-linguist, trained martial artist, and lover of the natural world.
